Battleshit Galactipoop

Greg is all wrong about the Sci-Fi Channel's re-imagining of the Battlestar Galactica series from early 1980s. I saw the whole thing and thought it was poo. There was one interesting character in the whole mess, and that was old Baltar. The rest were either stock characters (the feisty lone wolf cowboy (or in this case, cowgirl)) or else seemingly motiveless people you could in no way empathize with because you couldn't figure out what was supposed to be going on in their heads (Adama, Apollo, the chick who became president).

And what was with reducing virtually the entire Cylon "race" to one hot chick who magically appeared only to one character? There was not only no reason whatever to care about the human race as pathetically represented in this miniseries, but you also never really saw who was attacking them.

All in all, I'm at a loss to explain why this miniseries was even made.
