Zombies (Continued)

I picked up my non-defective DVD of "Dawn of the Dead" at -- haha! -- the mall today. The commentary track is interesting; Romero talks about shopping around the script for his fourth "Dead" movie. It sounds like it will be an uphill battle. Hopefully some lame-ass megacorp studio will have the stones to pony up the $14 million or so he and his wife say it would take to make it. Of course, in today's moviemaking dollars, that's peanuts. But Romero goes against the grain too much. If he would just cast Ben Affleck and aim for a PG-13 rating, he could probably get $100 million. And make a really crappy movie. Such is the state of filmmaking today, especially horror flicks.

If he ever does get to make it, I think it would be fun to be a zombie extra. Who knows, maybe he would film in Pittsburgh again -- that's not too far. Anyone up for a road trip?
